06 Feb Appetizers – You Can Make Garlic Feta Dip in 10minutes
You know getting the family all together for lunch or for any other occasion makes me feel really happy. As I have a large family that makes me to cook so many things for them. Starting from Appetizers to starters followed by the main course lunch or dinner and last but not the least a desert to end it on a really good note.
I always make sure to keep everything note down. Of course being a commerce stream student I firmly believe in planning. Hence I am aware about all the different kind of food my dear one’s prefer. Often at times it becomes tad difficult because when you have little nephew and niece their choices changes. And guess what the elder one’s becomes small children as well demanding me to cook some really mouth watering kind of food.
But that’s what cooking is all about. It’s an art. And you know what really matters? When you have done the cooking and you come out to see how everyone is doing and the sight in front of you – Your family relishing the food with utmost happiness and love.
Well, this time, I have gathered them as it’s going to be a holiday right around the corner. Therefore lots and lots of cooking. Because when your tummy is happy then you are happy as well.
My family personally loves everything I make for them. Although it always happens not only with me but I guess you as well that they love one particular dish. But as the number of member increases so are their choices. I am blessed that they actually love my Garlic Feta Dip which is simple, easy to make and deliciously delicious.
Trust me if I can cook then you sure as hell can do it. Since it’s holiday season you might need some really good recipes. And this one turns out to be the best and will be loved by everyone at your home.
All you need is some fresh ingredients and your food processor. Voila there you go! All set to win the heart of your dear ones. Toss some cream cheese, garlic cloves, pepper, Greek yogurt, oregano and feta cheese into the food processor bowl and then press play. You will have a rich, creamy and finger licking dip.
You can serve it with Graham crackers or topped it on bread or toast. My personal favourite is to serve it with Lavash and all purpose crackers. The sea salt ones happen to be a really good combination.
It directly comes out of the processor thus; I gave a little twist to it. I love bell peppers. Firstly because of its colors and secondly their high source of nutrients. And kids love them too. So no big deal in forcing them to eat. The dip turns out to be of plain white color. To make it look attractive I have topped it with red, yellow, green bell pepper and chopped cilantro. You can have mint or basil as well. It’s all about the choices.

- Yield – 3-4 serving per person.
- Preparation time – 10 minutes.
- Cooking time – 7 to 8 minutes
- Total time – 18 to 20 minutes.
- 1 and half cup crumbled feta cheese.
- 1 cup cream cheese.
- ½ cup Greek Yogurt.
- 3 cloves garlic.
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice.
- 1/8th teaspoon crushed black pepper.
- 1/4th cup diced bell pepper
- ½ tablespoon chopped parsley/mint/cilantro/basil.
- For serving:
- Pita bread, crackers, Veggies or chips.
In the food processing bowl add all the ingredients except bell peppers and parsley or mint, cilantro, basil. Churn it properly till it becomes nice creamy texture.
Transfer the dip in to the serving bowl and topped it with bell pepper and cilantro or any other option you love. You can also refrigerate it for up to 1 day. Just make sure that sprinkle bell peppers at the time of serving only.
